Recently, Mike Brown’s mother Lesley McSpadden is fighting the media after it was revealed that she lead a group that actually beat and robbed vendors selling “Justice for Michael Brown” T-Shirts.
According to reports, McSpadden led the group in mid-October. One of the vendors was McSpadden’s former mother-in-law Pearlie Gordon, Michael Brown’s grandmother. She was hospitalized after being beaten with a pipe during the incident.
Gordon claims that she was approached by McSpadden who yelled, “You can’t sell this s**t!” Still, Gordon argued that unless she “could product documentation stating that she had a patent on her son’s name, she was going to continue to sell her merchandise.”
At the end of the struggle, $1,500 in merchandise and $400 in cash was stolen during the robbery. The case has been deemed “felony armed robbery”, meaning that McSpadden could be facing serious jail time if convicted.
