Mayor Bill de Blasio has been a disaster in his years as mayor of New York City. His relationship with the biggest city in America has gotten so bad that NYPD officers were turning their backs to him at a funeral. Now, it appears he could be facing criminal indictment.
Breitbart reports that two separate grand juries in Manhattan, one federal and one state, have started hearing testimonies relating to criminal investigations into de Blasio’s campaign fundraising. Suspicions have been raised of possible pay-to-play violations.
These grand jury actions represent “the strongest indication” yet that indictments are on their way, the New York Times reports.
The federal investigation was launched by Manhattan U.S. Attorney Prett Bharara, who is examining whether de Blasio or his aides conducted political favors for donors in exchange for contributions to his 2013 mayoral campaign. These two investigations are part of five that were brought upon de Blasio and his staff dealing with fundraising by the mayor and organizations that are affiliated with his office.
What do you think? Are New Yorkers better off without this criminal?
